OBX Today with Sam Walker brings you all of the news and information you need to know affecting the Outer Banks and Northeastern North Carolina. A native of Currituck County, Sam Walker has been on the radio in North Carolina since he was 13 years old. Walker has been news director for WCXL-FM, WCMS-FM, WVOD-FM, and WZPR-FM since 2011, and has led coverage of some of the biggest news stories in the history of the Outer Banks, including hurricanes Irene, Matthew, and Dorian. Along with being the top voice of radio news in northeastern North Carolina, Walker makes regular appearances on regional and national radio and television outlets, including The Weather Channel, to provide his local knowledge about one of the most popular vacation spots in the country.
